10 Smart Tips to Pass the NCEE on Your First Attempt
Jul 13, 2026

1. Know the syllabus. Download the official NCEE syllabus from NECO’s website or get it from your school.
2. Get the right past questions. Use NCEE-specific compilations, not general aptitude books.
3. Set a study timetable. Study two subjects daily for at least one hour. Keep weekends for revision.
4. Master time management. Practice answering 100 questions within the real exam time limit.
5. Strengthen your English. Read storybooks, newspapers, and comprehension passages. Vocabulary matters.
6. Sharpen your Mathematics. Focus on fractions, percentages, ratios, and word problems. 7. Learn the basics of General Science and Social Studies. Memorise key facts, dates, and simple scientific concepts.
8. Take mock exams. Simulate real exam conditions at least three times before the main day. 9. Build your child’s confidence. Speak positively. Do not pressure them. A calm mind performs better.
10. Visit the exam centre ahead of time. Know the route, the travel time, and the environment.
Nothing replaces steady, consistent work. Start preparation at least six months before the NCEE. Use Highscore EdTech’s practice quizzes to test readiness. With the right effort, success is certain.
